Our Parent Group

The mandate of Discover Montessori Society Parent Group is to work collaboratively with school staff and administration to provide opportunities that compliment and support the Montessori experience.

 

Parents share ideas, plan events, organize fundraisers, and provide opportunities for children to socialize outside the class and enrich the school’s sense of community.

 

What we do

  • Organize social events incl. play at local parks, bowling, skating, etc.
  • Annual fundraisers incl. the Family Ball and Silent Auction
  • Enhance school playgrounds
  • Meet to discuss and plan goals

 

Every family is invited to participate in meetings and events, the first of which is the Annual General Meeting in October.

 

Parents may nominate themselves for any of our committees or Executive positions including Chair, Treasurer, Secretary and two Members At Large.

 

We do hope to see our parents involved and enthusiastic, and together we form a vibrant Montessori community!
