Nanaimo Campus & Parksville Campus
In response to the restrictions put in place during the COVID-19 pandemic, our in-class programs adapted quickly to new remote learning environments. We sincerely thank our students, parents, and our amazing teachers for their hard work, dedication, and support during this time.
Note: Classroom observations have been suspended for the time being.
Nanaimo Campus Primary Program (ages 3-6):
Our Primary program (ages 3-6) remains open for children of Emergency Service Workers. Limited spaces are available. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org for more information if you require child care. Once the restrictions are eased, our currently enrolled families are guaranteed to have their places in the program. We are taking a waitlist for three year olds to start Montessori programs in September. Please email the school for more information.
Parksville Campus Primary Program (ages 3-6):
Our Parksville Campus is temporarily closed. Once restrictions are eased, our programs will resume with currently enrolled families. Spaces are available for September programs for three year old students. Please email email@example.com for more information.
Elementary and Middle School programs (ages 6-15):
We have transitioned to a remote learning (online) model for students in Elementary and Middle School. Students see their teachers and classmates daily and receive presentations, practice and follow-up work. A waitlist is being taken for 6 year olds for programs starting in September. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org for more information and waitlist.
Discover Montessori School is a non-profit Independent school and licensed childcare facility. We follow the educational model and philosophy envisioned by Dr. Maria Montessori, with a deep emphasis on personal and collective responsibility for the Earth and for each other. Within a strong academic framework, we teach the interconnectedness of all subjects, the importance of community, and work toward developing peace through mutual respect and understanding.
Our programs offer experiential, hands-on learning for students ages three to fifteen, over two campuses in Nanaimo and Parksville, BC. We deeply value and foster each child's independence and work together with families to support the unique development of each student at their own pace.
