Program Description
Our Montessori program is a licensed, age-appropriate program that focuses on fostering the young child’s independence. An emphasis on daily routine provides
the child with a comforting schedule and promotes the acquisition of skills, language, cognitive, and social development in a way that meets the child’s developmental needs at their own
pace.
Learning activities / learning areas in the program will include:
- Self-Care: such as washing, dressing, toileting, and eating, according to each child’s individual capacity
- Care of the Environment: such as cleaning, food preparation and food service; plant care and animal care
- Large-Motor and Fine-Motor activities (indoors and out): jumping, running, climbing, balance, focus, concentration, etc
- Language: including proper naming of objects, describing actions and intentions, discussing pictures, conversation, music, and singing
- Social Skills: assisting in developing manners through interactions with peers, teachers, and adult-led small group games.
