The Casa Program is a 3-year program. Students start at 3 to 3.5 years of age. They stay with us until the end of their 'Master Year', which is the Montessori equivalent of the traditional Kindergarten year. Therefore Kindergarten is the third year of our program.
Given the multi-year nature of the program, we do not accept students at age 4 and 5 without having completed the Montessori foundation years at another equivalent Montessori school.
Students form a multi-age classroom community. Each child develops their own interests and abilities. Mixed ages enables younger children to learn from the older children and the older children reinforce their own learning to develop a love of sharing and helping their fellow classmates, and this sets the tone of kind and caring classrooom.
Specialized Montessori materials are made from beautiful materials. These appeal to a child’s inate love of order and curiosity. Activities are designed to strengthen fine motor control, lengthen concentration, and develop natural curiosity.
Math, language, science, art, music, sensorial, practical life and nature-based activities inspire children to learn while they play and explore at their own pace.
Children socialize, collaborate, and work independently under the guidance from experienced Association Montessori International (AMI) and certified BC teachers and assistants.
We invite you to observe our program.
